Company-owned mobile devices should never have a Google account on them. Having a personal Google account is a potential security issue. Having a shared agency Google account is a potential way for other employees to log into email or even Workday as you (sometimes on accident). Please follow the steps below to remove a Google account.
1. Go to Settings. (swipe down from above the screen, tap the down arrow (if applicable), then tap the gear icon)
2. Scroll down and tap Accounts
3. Tap Google
4. Tap the tripple dots in the upper right corner, then "Remove account", then confirm removal.
5. That should do it for most folks but...
If you see this message...
"This account is required by some apps. You can only remove it by resetting the phone to factory defaults (which deletes all of your personal data) in Settings > Backup & reset."
Please submit a helpdesk request to get help backing up and wiping your phone.
